In my previous job, I worked with sexual assault cases, in compliance with Title IX. One of our main goals was to create a culture of reporting- where men and women weren’t afraid to come forward to making a report. But, despite all of the report victims received, reporting is still hard. It requires bravery. If you are a victim of sexual assault on a college campus (or, anywhere!), I implore you: tell someone.
The New York Times featured an opinion page a few weeks ago where two writers debated whether a higher standard than the “preponderance of evidence” is needed. Interesting read. Check it out here.
