Is Your Child Getting Enough Sleep?

We live in a crazy time where kids are involved in several extra-curricular activities, loaded up on honors courses in school, and as a result, get very little sleep during the week. Studies now say that teens need 8.5-9.25 hours of sleep per night. As part of NPR’s series “On The Run: How Families Struggle to Eat Well and Exercise,” there is an article/audio excerpt about the consequences of teenagers not getting enough sleep.

Do you get frustrated because your teen is moody? Has a hard time focusing? Forgets things easily? Well, your child may just be run down. Kids need a break too.
