Though not perfect (or human), I love the way that technology has helped to advance so many fields. Check out this “MindKare Kiosk,” a walk-up technological device for college students that briefly assesses their mental and emotional well-being. If the assessment determines that the student could benefit from additional help, it provides a crisis hotline. (Again, not perfect, as an initial conversation with a human may be more ideal.) However, kudos to Oakland College (Rochester, MI) for assisting their students in this way.
