New App for Anxiety

We are entering new territory- mental health help on your iphone! While this is not meant to take the place of therapy, it certainly is an interesting “tool” for clients to cope between appointments. The app employs cognitive-behavioral techniques, a common approach and empirically supported, to help its users face fears. With 18% of our nation suffering from anxiety, this could certainly be a positive addition to therapy.
